Mixing
An equipment that mixes particles within a container by moving the container. Rotation provides mixing in the circumferential and radial directions. Oscillation also provides mixing in the axial direction. In this example, you can also observe how particles, lifted by the container’s motion, slide down a sloping surface. Since the mixing state varies depending on the type of powder, factors such as the effect of the rotation speed and the rocking (or oscillation) angle will be investigated. Sometimes, baffles are installed to promote mixing.
