Air conveyor
Conveying
A mechanism for transferring powder stored in a hopper to another container. This illustrates a pressure conveyance system where the powder supplied from the hopper is pushed out by a blower and transported upward. In this example, the conveyance speed is relatively high, indicating a dilute phase conveying flow regime. Due to the small radius (R) of the bent pipe (or pipe bend), you can also observe particles colliding with the pipe wall and either stagnating or falling back (or settling).
